Every Thursday we get together and discuss everything volunteering. It's a great way to get involved in your community, it can aid a return to work or help you find your 1st job by developing confidence, learning new skills, meeting new people, and including the experience you've gained on your C.V. We can even offer training here at the Stour Connect Community Centre.

 

Drop in any Thursday and meet with Friends of Volunteer Centre team in Sturminster Newton, Dorset. Get advice over a cup of coffee in our Community Café 9am to 2pm.

We currently have volunteer roles in the Community Café as Café Helpers, Gardeners in the surrounding gardens, and Admin Staff in our offices. However, the drop in sessions is a space for you to discuss or suggest any volunteer roles opportunities you would like to get involved in. So even if there's nothing that appeals to you why not pop in any Thursday, have a coffee and come and have a chat with us?
