Meals On Wheels

Our Meals On Wheels Scheme has been delivering hot temperature controlled meals into the local community, and to local lunch clubs since October 2017. We still deliver to our very first customer. We now deliver Monday to Friday. We have also started a new weekend service providing a chilled meal. If you wish to take advantage of this or the main week day service please contact 01258 471359 or 078496 18522 to register.

Our prices start at £6.50 for a small main meal only, and go up to £9.50 for regular sized meal with a pudding. These prices are for each meal per day.

Our current areas of deliveries covers Child Okeford, Sturminster Newton, Bagber, Stalbridge, Hazelbury Bryant, Marnhull and Shaftesbury. We cater for all allergy requirements including gluten free, and provide a main meal and pudding daily Monday to Friday.

Lunch Clubs

For the past three years or so we have been providing a Lunch Club on Monday and, due to its popularity we are now in a position to extend the service to include Wednesdays as well. This is an extension of our Meals-on-Wheels service which offers hot meals in our café at the Community Connections centre in Sturminster Newton. On Wednesday we serve a delicious, hearty roast diner (other options are also available - just ask). The Lunch Club gives people the opportunity to socialise with others at least one day a week, and to escape the isolation and loneliness they may be experiencing in their own homes. However, you do not need to be a customer of the Meal-on-Wheels service to take advantage of this scheme, Anyone can come! the Lunch Clubs operates roughly between 12 noon and 2:00pm. We are also able to provide door to door return transport from your home to the centre. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer this free, as we have to make a charge for this. Fares to be paid to driver on the return journey. Cash only please! If you do require transport, please phone the office by the previous Friday before at the latest on 01258 471359.
